This is an ideal carry bag. Too many bags (even stand bags) attempt to serve as both an on-course tool for managing your clubs and accessories, and a cabinet for holding your entire collection of golf paraphernalia. Not this one. This is a bag for walking a golf course and playing an enjoyable round.
I've taken to playing a short set (down to just 9 clubs, and my scores are still improving (also, you could probably sneak a full set in this bag, and comfortably with not-so-bulky headcovers)) and this bag has helped me simplify even further. It is more opinionated than many bags where pockets are just pockets, but the drawstring pouch for balls and tees and the embroidered hook and loop patch for attaching a glove call out their purposes loudly, and do them quite well. The pocket at the bottom is sized just right to keep a spare fresh glove in the back of it, my sunscreen and a water bottle. After that, the small zippered pocket on the side is all I need to stash my wallet and keys during my round. I have found this bag to be a nearly ideal expression of 'everything you need, nothing you don't'. Much to my surprise, I have found that the second straps from my other carry bags are actually from the 'things you don't' category, especially when the bag is perfectly pleased to be carried backwards, making it really easy to switch shoulders on the move.
The only things this bag provides that I never thought I needed is a little patch reminding me to play like a kid, and a style…
