The golf course features narrow fairways and small greens. The terrain is rolling with a creek that meanders into play on seven holes. Well-known architect, Dick Nugent, redesigned the course and a brand new clubhouse opened in 1996.

RGC Team, the Chicago weekend was a blast, and it was really cool to try something different from "the norm" when it comes to this game we all love. I wanted to drop some direct feedback here on ways I think RGC might be able to grow further. I don't think any of this will be all that novel, or things the team probably hasn't already thought of, but maybe there's some value in hearing it from someone outside the team?
In any case, take the following with a grain of salt or two:
1) Pre-Tee Time Social Events
Both days it seemed as though people more or less stuck with the people they came with before the event kicked off, and I didn't really see strangers warming up to each other until a few holes in. It could be cool to see things like putting contests, or "putting billiards", or some kind of team activity that pairs people up randomly—maybe it doesn't even need to be golf-related (e.g. bags, beer pong, whatever). Maybe something like a tailgate type vibe is worth exploring?
2) Growing the Spectator Involvement
I brought my folks, and while my dad is a golfer, my mom's interest pretty much comes solely from me getting him out of the house for 5 hours on the weekends. I think as RGC grows it would be interesting to see how it can appeal to non-golfers or people on the fence about taking the plunge into the world of golf. Maybe that's not any more complicated than food and drinks (people are pretty easy like that), but maybe you can explore something "random" like having…
